Solutions like legalizing gay marriage are good and all America needs is a total overhaul of how we see gays, and not seeing them as gay, but seeing them as human beings like us. Don't try to change them for who they are, but to accept them for who they are and treat them with respect. The LGBT community doesn't just want legal marriage, they want to fit in and be accepted in the mainstream world as human beings and not just as gays, the same way blacks want to be equal to whites or deaf people who want to be accepted. as much as someone who can hear.
