It was a game against North and South, based on which side of the river you live on. I live in the south, but I've always known girls from northern schools better. Even though I'm on the opposite side of the river, I'm closer to these schools than the girls I used to play with. Being closer to the north, all our games since middle school against these southern teams have been intense, even considering a couple of them as our rivals. Don't get me wrong, I was ecstatic to find out I was chosen to play in the All-Star Game, especially since my school hosts the event and gives me one last chance to play on my home field. Yet knowing that I would be playing with girls I had never been fond of made me cute
