The common law evolved over time as a judge's mad law according to previous doctrine. In common law the king was the head of government. Common law was the law administered by royal courts, and a more standardized set of rules based on customary law was gradually applied throughout England and in countries derived from England. for example Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. The rules of common law were too rigid to manage a complex society like England. originally people had to turn to the king for justice.
