Although “Dulce et decorum” is about war, it mentions nothing about revenge other than the horrific scene of war witnessed by the soldiers who fought in World War I. the soldiers are in a complete mess and never want to face war again, due to the horrible war scenes. While the story “The Children of Cambodia” is about what revenge was for the children of Cambodia, however, genocide was mentioned in the story, showing us an event that happened in the past that remained in Cambodia, tying it to the poem “Dulce Et Decorum” of horrible war scenes. Each of the children interviewed in the story “The Children of Cambodia” witnessed a horrible scene in their lives, due to the Khmer Rouge. Some examples are Ty's father Kim Seng, who is taken away and then brought back as a lifeless corpse, and Gnem Thy Rak who sees a Khmer Rouge soldier cut a man's cut
