There is a lot of controversy in courtrooms about whether or not intelligent design should be taught alongside evolution in public schools, which has been going on for many years. Intelligent design is the idea that changes in nature cannot be a random process, but some type of guidance must have led to why nature is the way it is in today's era. In most cases, that specific guide is God. God created the world for a purpose. Creationism is the same idea as intelligent design, according to which nature was created by a divine being, God. Evolution is the idea of natural selection. This idea means that specific characteristics of genes have been chosen to last longer through generations by having the ability to reproduce on those characteristics. Having these particular types of genes allows the specific living organism to survive longer and adapt well to its environment. Intelligent design and/or creationism are different from evolution, which explains why these two ideas should not be taught together. The ideas should not be taught side by side because it violates the First Amendment, the Establishment Clause of the Constitution, may interfere with students' prior scientific knowledge in the use of corroboration, and topics related to religion should not be introduced into science lessons , especially if it is not scientifically proven. For starters, intelligent design should not be taught alongside evolution in public school classrooms because it shows favor to religion.
