Learning about our past economic, political and cultural context developments contributes to our understanding of how the world works today because history becomes a part of who we are and what what we do. At root, world history is connected to events and memories that are linked through globalization. Globalization is the process in which the world is connected through shared networks such as trade, rivalry or even practiced culture. These shared networks established in early times created a purpose for our traditions or habits. As I learned about capitalism, I understood that capitalism contributed to the globalization of the world within our economic system. First, capitalism is a business system that implements the principle of people's rights. Capitalism is one of the major factors that have contributed to making the world increasingly globalized and affects us today as much as in the past. Capitalism played an important role especially in the world economic system, as it concerned the flow of money, trade, profits, wages, classes, etc. Capitalism was clearly shown in the industrial revolution. During this period, two Germans Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote The Communist Manifesto in 1848. In this pamphlet Marx and Engels explain the notions of capitalism along with social class struggles. They replace the capitalist class with the term “modern bourgeoisie”. The pamphlet stated: “The bourgeoisie has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal and idyllic relations. They have stripped the family of its sentimental veil and have reduced the family relationship to a mere monetary relationship." (World of History 819.) The bourgeoisie was so dominant that it disrupted other social systems. This shows how powerful the bourgeoisie was. This explains why money is the controlling factor in many decisions made in the market today. Rise or fall of different social systems
