During his office hours, he sometimes asked me about my homeschooling experiences and my thoughts on advantages and disadvantages. He asked me what my plans were for the future. He once told me privately that “Not everyone can learn to code, no matter how hard they try, but you got it.” Other students' opinions of her varied drastically, from mean to difficult, funny to racist. The only discrimination I ever saw her exhibit, however, was based on ability or the communication she received from the student. Those students who joked with her or responded to her sassy comments were often given a lighter attitude than those who became defensive or simply remained silent. This has taught me both how I want to behave when I teach so as not to insult my students, and how to interact better with teachers. Homework and test scores are only part of the final grade: the rest depends on how much the teacher likes you based on communication and how hard you try. Although different teachers prefer different types of interactions with their students, learning and adapting to their style and preferences has helped me tremendously in my lessons, so
