Topic > The Effects of Germany: The Impact of Nazi Germany

World War II cannot be complete without mentioning the impact of Nazi Germany. With his rapid rise to power after the terrible consequences of the German economy during the First World War, he demonstrated to the world that it was not necessary to always be powerful to gain all the power. Nazi Germany impacted the world with its powerful military regime, its cunning strategy to conquer Europe, and with its atrocities committed to ensure that the powerful “Aryan race” was kept pure from the “tainted Jews.” Because of this extraordinary rise to power, Europe would be conquered by Nazi Germany in just 15 years. 1914 was one of the best years for Germany. It was the most powerful economic and military power in Europe. Due to the war Germany was involved in, they would have to endure four years of hell, which would ultimately lead to the German economy rotting in the mud. This terrible economic crisis produced a man everyone would soon know was, Adolf Hitler. In 1919 Hitler developed the German Workers' Party, better known as the Nazi Party. This group promoted strong German pride, anti-Semitism, and dissatisfaction with the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler found the reparations and blamed Germany for starting World War I to be unfair and unjust. His first step in solving this problem was to become Chancellor of Germany. Throughout the 1920s, Hitler gave speeches in which he laid out all the problems Germany had due to the Jews and Communists within the country. His unbridled and passionate speeches won the hearts of economically disadvantaged German youth, affected by the destructive consequences of the First World War. In 1923, Hitler and his followers attempted a “putsch,” or coup, on Bavaria...... middle of paper ......and Wehrmacht officers attempted to assassinate him with a bomb while he was in a meeting in his underground bunker. Germany was being attacked from all fronts. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Hitler had been defeated and he knew it. To seal his fate, Hitler committed suicide with his wife Eva, taking cyanide and shooting himself in the head on April 30, 1945. Not long after, Nazi Germany surrendered. World War II was probably the worst war in terms of body count. During this war alone, over 60 million people were killed, or over 2.5% of the world's population. Germany had a huge impact on Europe, especially because it conquered almost all of it and because of the genocide of the Jews. Once fighting to dominate Europe, then fighting to even exist. Nazi Germany took the world by heart. The last thing the world needs is another army like the Nazi party.
