Cultural Exclusion of New Buddhists in Urban Scenario Problem Statement Cultural exclusion has several dimensions. It exists in different forms. In Indian society the caste factor is mainly responsible for cultural exclusion. Simply put, cultural exclusion refers to the lack of freedom to celebrate religious programs, the inability to express one's views or opinions. The Indian social order also plays an important role in cultural exclusion. Minority religion or social groups are unable to follow and preserve their own culture. Numerous other factors are also responsible for cultural exclusion, such as print and electronic media. In most cases the focus is on the culture of the dominant group rather than the culture of minorities. In this case, especially in the case of former untouchables or Dalits, who are considered to be part of the Hindu religion and belong to the same country, they are excluded from the main part of the village, from some occupations and from the interaction of daily life. They are now excluded from modern institutions such as education, the judiciary, the bureaucracy, the market and the media. Another form of exclusion, which occurs in Indian society, is due to the fact that some people follow certain religious faiths of foreign origin. The exclusion of Muslims and Christians is the most obvious example. Even though they have lived here for generations and contributed their labor to the nation-building process, they are often told to leave this country because they do not belong here. These types of exclusions are more permanent and harmful in nature.
