She was a woman of great faith and grew up in a Catholic church and community which she passed down. As a child I didn't really understand her until I really experienced life, then I understood her teachings and her training. He took religion seriously and made sure we all participated in church. Today I am grateful because my morals and ethics were built by her because I followed her steps. My grandmother had most of what the “masses” think gives happiness. Her religious life helped her acquire life-long virtues and understand morality. Money wasn't really an issue for her. I believe that poverty can lead to the loss of ethical values. Some people steal because they don't have money and stealing is bad, what is bad is bad but then they have no choice. She truly believed in helping people, even when she can't afford what someone asks of her, she goes into debt just to help. My grandmother's town is known for taking education very seriously and they go out of their way to help each other send their children to school, which has become a part of my grandmother and I respected her a lot for that.
