Topic > Leadership Roles in the Post-Bureaucratic Era - 1142

Change for the better? Nowadays, leadership can be seen to focus more on the relationships that are created within an organization. Compared to bureaucratic times, leaders now aim to maximize the skills and knowledge of their employees, not just the potential of their business. This idea, seen in "Theory and Management", seems to be used by many companies around the world as leaders and managers are realizing that it can help the company as a whole. If managers want their organization to succeed, they must realize that it all starts with their people. Increasing employee intrinsic motivation levels will immediately result in increased quality and production levels. If leaders provide high levels of training to their staff, this will significantly increase the level of motivation and commitment of the employees they bring into the company. The less training or skills the staff has, the less capable they will be of producing the standard of product or service required by the business.
