Animal testing in research laboratories is obsolete due to technological advances that do not require the use of animals. Furthermore, animal testing is inhumane and barbaric due to the harsh treatments many animals undergo in research laboratories. Most animals suffer in small cages while being injected with harmful substances, and their response is usually different from that of humans, which can be misleading. There are safer alternatives that do not harm animals, such as test tube studies on human tissue, statistics and computer models. The animals researched in the laboratories are bred exclusively for the purpose of scientific research. These animals endure tests on cosmetics, drugs and vaccines. Harmful test products are often injected into the animal's eyes, mouth and skin. While these experiments are carried out, the animals are usually found in a small enclosure, surrounded by their own defecation. These enclosures where the animals live are rarely cleaned unless the animal dies or is euthanized because they are no longer useful. There are various types of animal tests, but the most common ones used to obtain product results include the Draize test and the lethal dose test. (LD50). The Toxic Substances Act (15 USCA 2601 et. Seg. [1994] authorizes these two types of procedures which have consequently also been controversial. The Draize test measures the irritability of a substance by applying it to the eyes of humans and animals for 24 hours. The end result of this procedure is the death of the animal subjected to the horrendous activity. The LD50 test is used to calculate the average lethal dose of a substance by forcibly administering the substance designated to a defined population of animals up to 50% of them die.(AAVS) Animals are living beings and experiments... half of the article......dely adapted in all research laboratories, but not completely (John Hopkins Center for Animal Testing)Finally, it It is unethical to experiment on animals, especially since only 2% of human diseases are recorded in the animal kingdom itself. We as humans can reason, so we should actively do a I move forward with technology instead of using barbaric methods to feed our medical research needs. We can reason for animals that have no voice.
