President, judges, members of the opposition, teammates, ladies and gentlemen, I have great pleasure in moving today the motion that mobile phones should be banned in schools schools. Try to imagine this scene, ladies and gentlemen (pause for effect). You are in your favorite class. This is the lesson you've been waiting for all day. Your teacher is illuminating a truly fascinating theory and you are just starting to grasp its meaning. You're engaged and believe it or not, you're actually learning! Then suddenly the soothing tones of the theme song 'Fat Frog' invade the classroom. All hell breaks loose. The teenagers burst out laughing. The teacher stiffens, blushes and shouts “Whose phone is this?” The next ten minutes of class are filled with denials and recriminations. When peace finally descends, the bell rings and the lesson ends. This is not an isolated incident. Unfortunately, this happens too often every day at my school.
