The Art of War is one of the most influential literary works in history. It dates back to the 5th century BC. It was written by the Chinese general Sun Tzu or »Master Sun«. It was not translated into another language until 1772, when France wanted to know what it was about. Sun Tzu divided the book into three chapters, linked thematically. He goes on to explain that winning quickly at particular times is vital to success and gives his definition of “It's easy to understand, why it had such an influence and why it still holds true today.” When it was first released, the knowledge provided was very practical in warfare, but it didn't stop there. People understood that this book works on several levels. You can use it for warfare, yes, but it can also be interpreted as a guide to living your life. And not only in those ancient times, it is really useful even today. The people have not changed much and all the principles presented remain true to this day. They apply at different levels in our relationships at work, with our enemies, or at any time when conflict might occur. Avoiding conflict the right way is just one of the lessons you can learn from
