3.1 million children die of hunger. “According to the United Nations, approximately 21,000 people die every day from hunger-related causes” (Poverty). “It is estimated that there are still 868 million undernourished people and more than 100 million children under 5 who are undernourished and underweight” (Pane). The amount of people suffering from hunger has decreased by 37% since 1990, but this situation needs to stop. More jobs need to be created by opening shelters and letting people who need work work there and then get paid. There needs to be more food shelters and the government needs to make access to healthier food easier.
