Topic > The Life of Adolf Hitler - 2312

Probably the most effective and powerful tyrant of the twentieth century. He was once a small and innocent altar boy, then a homeless man obsessed with power and dictatorship, now personally responsible for the deaths of 6 million Jews. In the Austrian city of Braunau on April 20, 1889, Adolf Hitler was born to mother and father Klara Pölzl and Alois Hitler. Adolf was a good student throughout elementary school, even being a member of the school choir, but soon after going to college Adolf quickly became rebellious and failed many of his classes. In 1905 he transferred to another school, but eventually abandoned formal education altogether. He began his years of amateur painting and dreamed of becoming a famous artist. In 1907, when his mother died, he moved to Vienna to apply for a place at the Academy of Fine Arts. However his application was rejected as they thought he was simply not good enough. He became homeless and lived in men's shelters, trying to survive on an orphan's pension and money he earned from selling postcards he had painted. It was while he was homeless that he began to become fascinated by the immense possibilities of political manipulation. He was fascinated by the successes of Vienna Mayor Karl Lueger and his propaganda organization. Under the mayor's influence, Hitler began to develop an extreme obsession with anti-Semitism that would remain central to his beliefs. In May 1913 Hitler attempted to cross the German border to Munich to avoid Austrian military service. He was arrested and handed over to Austrian police days later. He persuaded the police not to lock him up and appeared for the draft physical examination, which he failed. Hello… middle of paper… they tormented them, starved them, ridiculed them and simply stripped them of all their self-worth. Hitler was murdering Jews left right and center and couldn't care less. Slowly Hitler began to lose control, the war was getting out of his reach. He came up with all kinds of tactics. Hitler built himself a solid concrete house to protect himself and isolate himself from the rest of the war. Eventually it all became too much for him and he committed suicide on April 30, 1945. Adolf Hitler had a long and eventful life, full of extreme highs and lows, but he would always prevail. He was disliked by a large number of people and his inhumane acts are still discussed today, but he still has many followers and enjoys the utmost respect from others. I believe all of his actions were unnecessary and absolutely barbaric. The things he did were simply atrocious.
